How do we see things ?
How do you see an apple that is on a table next to you?
Light from the sun falls on it and bounces away from it in all directions. Some of it reaches your eyes and through them, to your brain. It is your brain that makes you feel that you have seen an apple. On seeing it, you pick it up and put it to your mouth. Your sense of sight helps you in finding food around you.
Let us now learn how we produce and hear sounds. Then we will be able to know how bats can “see” with the help of sound!
